We’ve been desperately waiting for new infant features in the base game, and The Sims finally listened to us because, in the live stream on Friday, they revealed new infant traits that would be a part of the base game. It’d highlight every character’s unique personality and how they interact with the world. Let’s see what these traits include.
There are six new traits that are introduced in infants as they grow from newborns, and they are as follows.
Apart from this, there are also new temperaments that your infants would have based on these traits. For instance, a character with the cautious attribute would be more comfortable with their family members and in familiar surroundings but have difficulty adjusting to a new environment. They also wouldn’t prefer trying out new food items quickly.
Intense infants, on the other hand, would be more fussy, throw tantrums, and it’d be challenging to calm them down. Sunny infants are easier to manage as they are always happy, whereas wiggly infants would need someone to lull them to sleep.
The whole purpose of this feature is to add a new layer of realism to the game because it keeps the players on their toes. They’d have to rack their brains to develop strategies for their children’s different traits.
